Where do you source the extension hair?

Extension Hair is typically sourced from Asia or Russia to accommodate a variety of textures. We choose to work with hair companies that are ethically sourced. Our favorites are Kitsune, The Reserve, ONE, and Muse.

Can I workout with extensions?

We get this question all the time, and the answer is yes! Many of our clients live a very active lifestyle, and extensions can actually help to keep your hair routine short and sweet. We recommend giving yourself a couple weeks to really find a grove with your new extensions and get into a routine with designated shampoo and styling days.

How often do I need to come in for maintenance on my extensions?

We recommend coming in every 7-9 weeks for a maintenance appointment, but some prefer 6 weeks or even 10. Picking the right time frame will be personalized between you and your stylist!

What is included in an extension maintenance appointment?

Typically what we recommend is doing a packaged maintenance appointment, consisting of color and a reinstall. We believe that color and extensions go hand in hand, so, refreshing both each time is the best route to take in order to keep your hair looking flawless.

Curious what that maintenance appointment looks like? First, we completely remove your extensions, then color your hair and the extension hair, we give your scalp a good scrub and massage, and finally, reinstall your extension hair. Don’t worry, we give your hair a little dusting to keep it healthy, followed by a good styling.

Can I wear my extensions in a ponytail?

Glad you asked… IBE was the OG and the creator of the “Flip Up”. Your extension rows are flexible, and you can flip them up into a ponytail as early as day 1.

How often will I have to replace my extension hair?

Extension hair typically lasts anywhere from 6-9 months, and sometimes even a full year. The lifespan of your extension hair is all based upon your at home care. Baby your hair and use proper precautions and you will be good to go!
